The Open Government and Data Analytics Initiative has given the general public the opportunity to utilize the data resources of federal agencies. These federal resources has provided the NAACP and other organizations the opportunity to build applications and data visualization platforms that has enhanced the public awareness and knowledge government impact on their perspective communities and mission. The NAACP has taken the bold step of embracing this new technology platform as a tool that will and can be utilize to better enhance our mission.
Hackathons has become synonymous with new age application development collaborations across the country. The U.S. Congressional Hackathon brought together politicians, developers and engineers to engage in problem solving complex scenarios using software development techniques and focus groups.
The "Planning" phase of the Software Development Life Cycle is a major component for ensuring the success of an Open Government project. The Committee for Information Technology will spend countless hours to ensure that each initiative is carefully planned and executed.
The software application tools that support this initiative is the award winning JAVA Container called "Adobe Coldfusion". The backend database management tool is Microsoft SQL Server. The Sr. Developer has over fifteen years of software development experience in the federal government.
The successful "execution" of any project is determined by the proper cohesion of all the components that are attributed to the project. The I.T. Committee of the NAACP is determined to ensure that each component of an Open Government project is properly planned and coordinated so as to ensure a successful execution.

The Prince George's County (PGC) NAACP Office is currently pursuing several active projects. The unprecedented number of foreclosures throughout the country and within the PG County borders has compelled the issue of foreclosures into a primary consideration of concern. Therefore, this office has made foreclosures a number one priority.
The rally scheduled for November the 29th in front of the the Prince George's County Circuit Court is postponed due to inclement weather and has been rescheduled for December 1st, 2016 from 9:30 am to 1pm.
The county school district has suffered a loss of $6 million USD in allocated dollars for the Head Start program. On October 12, 2016 the NAACP formerly asked the County Executive for fired the public schools Superintendent and CEO Kevin Maxwell.
The county district is one of other districts that are subject to tax related issues and stress. The NAACP has committed itself to finding a legal remedy for its county residents that find themselves the subject of IRS targeting.
The NAACP seeks to support its county residents with the necessary support to maintain the social and economic stability of its residents. Therefore, job fair and training programs are essential means of maintaining a healthy work-force.
